Saaya is the story of Sudha and Kamya. Sudha is quiet, fragile & incredibly shy with a simplicity and beauty that takes one's breath away and on the other hand, Kamiya bursts with a vibrant zest for life, full of fun, pranks & an exuberance that borders on waywardness. Awkward circumstances bring the two together in an inseparable bond of friendship. They are always there for each other, supporting each other through rough times. Roopa lives a wealthy lifestyle with her husband, Prakash Chandra, who works for her dad, Manoharlal Verma, and a daughter named Sharda alias Pinky. Roopa and Prakash do not get along and Roopa suspects that Prakash is having an affair. Her suspicious nature gets a boost when a woman named Sharda Dayal Sharma moves into a house next door. Roopa starts vile rumors about Sharda having an affair with Prakash.

Shanti and Suraj lead a content life until he abandons her to marry Ruchi. Shanti and Ruchi both give birth to boys, who grow up and fight each other, unaware that they are half-brothers.
